Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using CircuitSage ("Service", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using CircuitSage, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of CircuitSage, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using CircuitSage on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

CircuitSage provides AI-powered tools for electrical engineers including, but not limited to: datasheet analysis, code generation, bill of materials generation, circuit fault detection, component search, error explanation, unit conversion, and PLC ladder logic generation.

Important: All outputs generated by CircuitSage's AI tools are provided for assistance and reference purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional engineering judgment. Always verify AI-generated results before using them in real hardware or production systems.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.

4. Free and Pro Plans

4.1 Free Plan

• Free users receive 20 AI requests per day, resetting at midnight UTC.
• All 9 engineering tools and 30+ calculators are available on the Free plan.
• Search history is limited to the last 10 entries.
• We reserve the right to modify Free plan limits at any time with reasonable notice.

4.2 Pro Plan

• Pro subscribers receive unlimited AI requests per day.
• Pro subscribers get full search history, priority access, and early access to new tools.
• Subscriptions are billed monthly at $9.99/month.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period.

4.3 Refund Policy

Refunds will not be issued if the usage threshold has been exceeded, or after the 7-day window has passed. Lemon Squeezy processes all refunds within 5-10 business days.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CircuitSage to:

• Create multiple accounts to bypass usage limits (account sharing or farming).
• Use automated scripts or bots to make excessive API requests.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from our AI models.
• Upload illegal, harmful, or privacy-violating content.
• Resell or redistribute CircuitSage outputs as a competing service without permission.
• Use the service for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

By using CircuitSage tools, you acknowledge that:

• AI-generated code, schematics, and analysis are provided "as-is" for reference only.
• You are responsible for verifying all outputs before practical application.
• CircuitSage does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI output.

7. Intellectual Property

CircuitSage and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by CircuitSage and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Content you generate using CircuitSage tools belongs to you. However, we may use anonymized, aggregated data about how our tools are used to improve the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CircuitSage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the Service.
• Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
• Any interruption or cessation of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of CircuitSage, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience downtime beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses due to service interruptions.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time from your Dashboard settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, by sending an email to your registered address. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
